The company's spring seminar held on April 19 on STAUF's factory premises was titled "Adhesive technologies and subfloors". Following the welcome by STAUF's managing director Volker Stauf, the seminar comprised technical presentations delivered by four experts.
Ralf Putze from Moduleo GmbH started by introducing his company, which is a IVC subsidiary registered in Düsseldorf and specialises in luxury vinyl flooring made from and comprising up to 50 percent recyclable materials. As part of his presentation, Putze introduced Moduleo's latest designer flooring, its layer structure and the sustainable manufacturing process used in its production. This presentation also included a practical demonstration of working with the universal premium adhesive STAUF D 37, during which attendees were able to experiment with the adhesive themselves.
Next, Peter Jansen from Hain Industrieprodukte Vertriebs GmbH based in Rott am Inn delivered a talk on "Hain multi-layered wood flooring - from its production to installation". This talk focussed on outlining the details of how the wood for this flooring is sourced from trees, to being cut, split and dried before being turned into the final product, and emphasised the special features of Hain product surfaces, which dry by oxidation. The talk was accompanied by images of ready installed flooring, which were highly informative.
Oskar Buchhorn from Knauf PFT GmbH & Co. KG from the Lower Franconian town of Iphofen then gave a talk on "Pumping fillers in commercial and residential properties". This involved a brief company and product presentation, followed by a presentation of the PFT Ritmo L plastering machine, which has been specially developed for mixing flooring fillers and levelling compounds. The series of talks concluded with a presentation of the new cement-based filling compound Series Triple XXX XP 10, XP 20 and XP 40 by Florian Hees and Andreas Helm from STAUF Klebstoffwerk GmbH. These three filling compounds are new-generation products that distinguish themselves through their cost-effectiveness, ease of application and safety.
The next STAUF customer training course, the autumn seminar, will take place in the autumn 2018, on 19 and 20 September, and is titled "Skilled trade work in practice". To register, please visit www.stauf.de/service/fachseminare/ or email marketing@stauf.de.
