1C-PU adhesives

1 component polyurethane adhesives contain reactive moisture-cure binders. This is an isocyanate containing prepolymer (precursor) that reacts with water in the air and from the substrate when the carbon dioxide (CO₂) is split off and becomes PU. Since the adhesive contains isocyanate it must be labelled. They can be almost universally used for bonding wood flooring. Because the CO₂ is split off, the adhesives foam minimally and can be used as fillers to some extent.
