GISCODE

GISBAU is a service unit of the German construction industry’s professional association that prepares a comprehensive information system on hazardous materials. The system is based on combining products into product groups with comparable classifications indicated by a so-called GISCODE. This reduces the volume of chemical products to a few product groups and creates an overview of the applicable protective measures and rules for occupational safety.
