Process materials
A process material is a material which only reaches its final material properties during production. In contrast, ‘normal’ materials do not change their properties any more once in production. They are simply shaped (e.g., forged, cut, milled) or bonded with other materials (e.g., paint, assembled or mixed). A simple example is a 2-component adhesive which first takes on its properties once the two components are mixed and can react.
