Ridge retention

Ridge retention describes the stability of the adhesive ridges or score marks after being applied with a notched trowel. The higher the ridges, the higher the unevenness to be bridged.  This is affected by the notched trowel being used as well as the height of the teeth and the angle at which it is being held.
